ਇਹ ਪਾਵਨ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਪੰਜਾ ਕਿਲਿਆਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਦਾ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਬਿਲਾਸਪੁਰ ਦੇ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਹਮਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੱਖ ਰੱਖ ਕੇ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਭਾਈ ਘਨਈਆ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਪੰਜ ਸੌ ਦੇ ਕਰੀਬ (ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ) ਸਿੰਘਾਂ ਨੇ ਤਪ ਕੀਤਾ। ਪਹਿਲਾ ਹਮਲਾ ਇਸ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਸੰਨ 1700 ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਇਆ। ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਜੀ ਆਪ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਪੰਜ ਸੌ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਸਿੰਘਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੰਗਰ ਪਾਣੀ ਛਕਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਇੱਥੇ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।

of Stars) – Gurdwara Qila Taragarh Sahib is situated on the outskirts of Anandpur Sahib. It is located 5km from Anandpur Sahib and was built to stop the advancing hill armies before they arrived in Anandpur. Qila Taragarh was built on the top of a hill where one could see for miles around.

There was also a baoli (open well with steps leading down to water level) dug to ensure supply of water for the garrison.
