ਬਿਲਗਾ ਇੱਕ ਛੋਟਾ ਜਿਹਾ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਥਿਤ ਹੈ।

ਬਿਲਗਾ ਵਿਖੇ 2 ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕ ਸਿੱਖ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰੇ ਹਨ, ਦੋਵੇਂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਰਜਨ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਹਨ।

ਭਾਈ ਕਾਹਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਨਾਭਾ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤੇ ਮਹਾਨ ਕੋਸ਼ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਜਦੋਂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਰਜਨ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਵਿਆਹ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੀ, ਗੁਰੂ ਅਰਜਨ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਗੋਇੰਦਵਾਲ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਤੋਂ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ 1 ਜੁਲਾਈ 1589 ਨੂੰ ਇਥੇ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ (ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਬੋਰਡ ਨੇ ਤਰੀਕ ਨੂੰ ਗਲਤੀ ਨਾਲ 1590 ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੈ)।
ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਰਜਨ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਮਾਤਾ ਗੰਗਾ ਜੀ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਆਹ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਮੌ-ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਗੁਰੂ ਅਰਜਨ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਆਹ ਸਮੂਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਾਬਾ ਬੁੱਢਾ ਜੀ, ਭਾਈ ਮੰਜ ਜੀ, ਭਾਈ ਸ਼ਲੋ ਜੀ, ਮੀਆਂ ਮੀਰ ਜੀ, ਭਾਈ ਗੁਰਦਾਸ ਜੀ, ਭਾਈ ਸੰਗ ਜੀ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਸਿੱਖ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਸਨ.

ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ, ਬਿਲਗਾ ਪਿੰਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿਰਫ 7 ਝੌਪੜੀਆਂ ਸਨ. ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ, ਪਿੰਡ ਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਨੇ 2 ਦਿਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਰਜਨ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਆਹ ਸਮੂਹ ਦੀ ਖੂਬ ਸੇਵਾ ਕੀਤੀ.

ਗੁਰੂ ਅਰਜਨ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਪਿੰਡ ਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਪਰਾਹੁਣਚਾਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਹੋਏ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੁਝ ਵਸਤਰ ਪਿੰਡ ਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੋਹਫੇ ਵਜੋਂ ਦਿੱਤੇ, ਇਹ ਵਸਤਰ ਅੱਜ ਵੀ ਇਥੇ ਗੁਰੁਦਆਰਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।

ਮੁੱਖ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰੇ ਵਿਚ ਇਕ ਖੂਹ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਖੂਹ ਦੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਰਜਨ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕਰਿਆ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ . ਹਰ ਸਾਲ, 18, 19, 20 ਹਾੜ੍ਹ ਨੂੰ ਇਥੇ ਇਕ ਮਹਾਨ ਦੀਵਾਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿੱਥੇ (ਆਖਰੀ ਦਿਨ) ਗੁਰੂ ਅਰਜਨ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਵਸਤਰ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਤ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ.

ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਪਿਪਲੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਬਿਲਗਾ ਉਸ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਹੈ ਜਿਥੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਰਜਨ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਬਿਲਗਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਅੱਗੇ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਉਸ ਵਕਤ ਪਿੰਡ ਦੇ ਆਸ ਪਾਸ ਜੰਗਲ ਸੀ। ਗੁਰੂ ਅਰਜਨ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਇਕ ਪਿਪਲੀ ਦੇ ਰੁੱਖ ਹੇਠ ਬੈਠਦੇ ਸਨ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇਸਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਪਿੱਪਲੀ...

ਸਾਹਿਬ ਬਿਲਗਾ ਪੈ ਗਿਆ।

Bilga is a small town located in the Jalandhar district of the State of Punjab.

There are 2 Historic Sikh Gurdwaras in Bilga, both are associated with Sri Guru Arjan Sahib Ji.

Gurdwara Sri Guru Arjan Sahib Bilga
According to the Mahan Kosh compiled by Bhai Kahan Singh Nabha, when Sri Guru Arjan Sahib Ji was due to get married, Guru Arjan travelled from Goindwal Sahib and arrived here on 1st July 1589 (although the Gurdwara board incorrectly states the date as 1590).

Guru Arjan was travelling to Mao Sahib to get married to Mata Ganga. Along with Guru Arjan the marriage group included Baba Budha Ji, Bhai Manj Ji, Bhai Shalo Ji, Mian Mir Ji, Bhai Gurdas Ji, Bhai Sang Ji and other Sikhs.

At the time, the village of Bilga only consisted of 7 mud huts. However, the villagers served Guru Arjan and the marriage group with great respect and dedication for 2 days.

Guru Arjan was highly impressed with the hospitality the villagers provided and so gave some of his clothes as gifts. The clothes were preserved and can be seen at the Gurdwara.

A well has been preserved in the main Gurdwara, this well provided bathing water for Guru Arjan while he stayed at this location. Every year, there is a great diwan on 18, 19, 20 Harh where (on the last day) the clothes of Guru Arjan are displayed.

Gurdwara Sri Pipli Sahib Bilga
Gurdwara Sri Pipli Sahib Bilga marks the site where Sri Guru Arjan Sahib Ji sat and prayed to God while at Bilga. At the time there was a forest surrounding the village. Guru Arjan sat under a Pipli tree therefore the name, Gurdwara Sri Pipli Sahib Bilga.
